Pause requests or unpublish a portfolio

Pause controls new intake; unpublish controls public discovery.

Choose the control that matches the need

Pause intake when you want to keep a public portfolio visible but stop new requests while you catch up, travel or reconsider your scope. Unpublish when you no longer want that portfolio discoverable. These controls answer different questions and should be explained in your own working notes.

Neither action changes an accepted project automatically. Existing agreements, deliveries and participant history remain separate from public discovery and new intake.

  • Pause when the page can stay visible but new requests should wait.
  • Unpublish when the public selection is no longer current.
  • Keep active project commitments in their own record.

Check the shared presentation

A portfolio card and its Workspace listing should use the same title, images, description and publication state. Review the public route after changing an image or caption so someone does not see an outdated promise in one place.

When you publish again, check permission, availability language, usage notes and links. A published page is an invitation to talk; it is not a calendar guarantee.

Preserve your history

Unpublishing should remove public discovery for that portfolio without deleting the library item or project history you need for your records. Export before a major account change if you want a local reference.

Return to the profile when your practice is ready. A deliberate pause is a useful boundary and does not need to be explained as a failure.
